A lot of folks don't see it as a "Loss of freedoms/rights". All they see is that the Government is helping out those who are having problems. That's ok, I feel the government SHOULD help those who need it, TO AN EXTENT. The problem is that once you give someone something for so long they begin to consider it a "Right" when in fact it was (or should have been) a temporary measure to help them over the hump.
