A friend of mine is suggesting that if i want a good full size 1911 to buy the Rock Island Tactical and have him replace the guts with Ed Brown parts, the reviews on the gun itself are impressive for under 500.
Let me know how that works out. I've got the 4" 1911 from Springfield (with Busse grips <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> ). I've long wondered about the quality of RIA 1911s.
