Seriously though, I did round off the pommel end of my War Dog. It is nicely rounded now and fits in the area at the base of my thumb quite nicely. Bit of advise though, IF you do it use a power sander and GO SLOWLY. Then you can smooth it out, get it REAL close to the factory finish with some sandpaper by hand. I'm well satisfied with the way mine turned out.
I thought about doing the same thing to mine. The square butt just rubs my hand a little wrong.
