One thing I DO like is even though the blade is "Hooked" it is a VERY gradual curve, actually almost straight and believe it or not would make a good edc blade if it wasn't so big. The "Ring" will help maintain your grip and will actually help you NOT to pull through the cut to far possibly cutting yourself.
