Timo I bought 2. The one for the laptop is just Western digital Scorpio 320GB and it is a bit faster and better cache than what was in the laptop. I was running out of memory in a bad way.
For the desk top I got a Seagate 2 TB drive which is running 6gbs and 64MB cache which is pretty good. I upgraded the regular memory as well since I cracked open the case.
I didn't have any problem cloning the HD on the laptop but the Desktop is being a pain.
I will find out eventually if the boot sectors ever finish writing. Then I can put everything back together and see if it works.
