The drill instructors make them call all Marines "sir" until they become Marines themselves when they graduate, but I still hate it. I walked by an entire platoon of recruits today and had to here "good morning sir" 80 something times in a row. The next platoon started the same thing until I said "shut the &%$# up", then in unison, they said "aye aye sir"
