I can hardly believe we've been up for a little over an hour already. Course we did go to bed about 1945 last night! We were wore out.

Back in October the Patriarch of our church died. Well yesterday we buried his wife at the age of 91. We started getting stuff ready and then started cooking for the funeral dinner Sunday after church and finally finished up the last dish Monday morning about 0800.

Had the funeral and then the dinner. We helped serve as we always do, and after cleaning up and relaxing a bit the son (only one they had) and his wife came back to the church. Well we all sat around for about 2 hours just talking and we finally got back home about 1530.

We messed around on the computers and talked on the phone to some of the other church folks and just was so stressed/tuckered out that we finally called it a VERY early day and went to bed.

They were special folks to us, their son Gary and I are not quite a full year apart in our age. We went to school together. When Patty and I started going to church over there they kind of adopted us I guess cause of our age compared to his plus we just got along really well. Their thing was going out to eat after church and taking various folks from the church with them. I think that I drove their car about as much as their son did after church. We didn't ALWAYS go with them, but probably at least 40 percent of the time. Plus they called us a lot to drive them to Doctors appointments and such.
