Skunk the 20 watter is a hard panel with a metal frame. I am tempted to buy a second one without a controller for about 70 and trying to make a solar generator. I may get 2 more panels to try it. In theory I hook a 12 volt battery to an inverter and I should be able to run small houshold appliances from that. Why...............I don't know but it seems like a neat idea.
If you have the desire, the funds and expertise to try it, why not. Sounds like a good idea to me.
