I've had several Springfields and recently traded my TRP. The TRP was a nice gun but no where near the slightly more expensive / massively better built options.

Personally, if I wanted a inexpensive entry level gun I'd consider a Colt 1991. The Colt will retain value when you're ready to trade up because it says Colt on it.
