There was only a couple rifles I wanted as much as the CZ527 and one was a Ruger 77/357. Reason I'm mentioning it is if you are looking at a SP101 you may consider a 77/357 down the road to replace the 527. This would give you a matching rifle and pistol combo and you'd still have a nice intermediate woods bolt rifle for when the kids get older.


I found a LGS that will sell a saiga sporter, so when I find one for a decent price, I'll pick one up. Still like the 7.62 x 39 round for CT.

I wish the Storm was still legal in CT, it looks like a lot of fun and a nice home defense weapon.
