I actually think the Falklands era Brit kit and rifle are about as sexy as battle rattle and rifles can be.
..... for years my jacket of choice was a Royal Marine Arctic Smock, wore that all around the world. I replaced it with an original SAS smock (I do prefer the cut of the hood on this over the RM version) and an Australian made/SF issue smock in Multicam. The later gets most use now, though if I am feeling nostalgic the DPM one gets out and about.
