Well here is my opinion so do what you want with it. Benelli #1. Mossy #2. Versamax...#3.

While I don't own any of these at the moment when I was working as a waterfowl guide a used all and saw all in action. All covered in mud sand water and Ice.

The benelli is the gun to beat. Hands down. If I was trusting my life to an auto shotgun it would be the benelli. M4 M3 M2 i would use em all.

The mossy ran fine with no issues but the over all quality of the gun and parts wasn't as high and the tang safety sucks.

Remington auto guns went down more than any other brand versa max 1187 1100. Plus with the freedom groups recent history with remington guns and recalls I would touch any but an 870 police...

For hunting guns the berreta is right up with benelli. But due to limited choices on the defense side I didn't list it.
