So help me out! Need a new upper and debating the barrel options. Looking to shoot coyotes 100-300 yards out (maybe longer). My options (all 1:8 twist):

-- 16" stainless heavy
-- 18" stainless heavy straight flutes
-- 18" stainless heavy spiral fluted
-- 18" stainless heavy melonite straight fluted
-- 20" stainless heavy straight fluted
-- 20" stainless heavy spiral fluted
-- 20" stainless bull barrel with target crown

-- 16" melonite HBAR 1:7 (by far the cheapest optiom, but can't get a thin quad or keymod for that)

Gonna need to haul it a field. Not sure how heavy that 20" bull would be with an ultralight thin freefloat handguard, but I would think keeping the pkg under 8 lbs would-be ideal.

Is 16" just too short for this? Is a bull too heavy and unbalanced? Would a 20" spiral fluted be light enough and still provide good rigidity? Is 20" too "unmaneuverable?"

Thoughts?
