Still not sure. $85 for fluting. $85 gives me a barrel as stiff as a heavy with weight of an HBAR minus a couple ounces.

I think I've decided more on a 22" barrel. Doesn't seem to be much of an appreciable difference in speed, and a shorter barrel should be stiffer. Going for a rifle length +2 gas system, which, again, should make the barrel stiffer, overall. Not sure if the corkscrew pattern (really tight spiral) maintains that stiffness as well as straight flutes (which, evidence suggests, also makes it a bit more accurate), but is the style I'm taken with...
