The SOCOM profile looks a little front heavy. Or maybe it's better balanced, though I suspect it's more useful for a 16" barrel than a 24".

I'd like to take this out long-distance shooting someday. It will mostly serve as a hunting rifle, looking across fields where 200-350 yard shots are normal.
