yeah, I've shot an M16A4 with an ACOG, and I noticed that I couldn't see the color of the chevron when I was on a brightly lit outdoor range. It didn't make a huge difference with the reticle of the ACOG being black, but I could see where it would if there was no back-up reticle like on the reflex. Inside a building though, it might be less of a concern.
