Living in OK there is not a lot of gold. I hve never looked for anything per say but I hve always been fascinated by the gold and silver rushes in American history. I know I would love to get a detector and hit AZ, NM, CA, AK, and of course OK, AR, and MO since there were a few Civil War battles and engagements--not to mention loot left behind. Actual panning would be neat to do anywhere I think. I know the wife seemed to really enjoy the show yesterday and has mentioned that we should try it some--I hope that this will get her more into the outdoors too--to me the scenery and meeting people would be the "gold".
