The corner is coming apart from rubbing, and the rest of the damage is visible. it held up pretty well, I've owned that blade since I turned 18, so 5 years. the Belt clip on the back is really sturdy, and I was thinking maybe there would be a way to take it out of leather (cutting probably) and incorporating it into a kydex sheath. Would that be easier said then done?

It could be done, set a couple rivets through the leather, form up a new kydex sheath with a couple of matching rivets and attach with some chicago screws, or rivet the kydex directly to the leather
