Jeff - your mention of your brother and the humidity made me laugh. A couple of years ago a buddy of mine and his brother were going to visit us from New Port Richey, Florida. I warned him about the heat and humidity here in summer, and they just laughed and reminded me that they are coming from Florida and they know all about heat and humidity. Where I grew up in South Africa they used to have Humidity days (like snow days) where they would close the school when the humidity got out of control. Unfortunately it only happened once while I was at high school but as you can imagine, I really appreciate living in the NW.

1,000 boys and no aircon in any of the buildings. The gym smelt terrible. We also had to wear long trousers, long sleeved shirts, ties. The blazer was mandatory when you were going to or from school.
