Yeah.I am going to mess around with the pieces once the bayonet gets here and see what I can do. But, I think I may end up having a hole. A small hole may take a little strength away, but the two plates may make up for it. Once I get it together, I am going to put it on a rifle and try and drive it through a piece of plywood to see if it will hold up. I would rather it fail here in German than down range. Chances are I will never have to actually use it as a bayonet, but I can imagine other Marines wanting to test it out downrange. If it failed then, I would be on a deplyment with no knife.
