Yote, The Stars and Stripes Is a news paper started in the late 1800's as a Military NEWS paper, for boys away from home. It Still is. My only experience is withe the Pacific Stars and Stripes, printed for the East, Japane, Korea, that part of the world. I read JJ's post earlier today, I knew the gist of the Stars & Stripes but I always thought it was more or less propaganda for the troops by the brass.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this was not the case
