I wish my son was more interested in the outdoors, fishing and hunting, etc. All he cares about is video games. He does show interest in my knife collection, and to some extent my gun collection. But no interest at all in learning to use them.
Both my daughters love camping.
The oldest has no interest in hunting.
The 20 year old decided last year she wants to try hunting, this year. She never showed an interest before.
Four years ago my oldest nephew decided out of the blue he wanted to hunt.
He was 18 and up until then showed no interest in anything related to fresh air.
His dad (middle brother) didn't hunt.
My youngest brother paid for his hunter education course, my dad gave him his rifle.
That fall my youngest brother and I took him out hunting (plenty of range time over the summer).
We hunted hard to get him a buck, he got a little spike n the second to last day.
One of the proudest days of my life.
Now he hikes almost every weekend, 4x4's, camps all year round and hunts

Very nice! I took my son trout fishing on opening day last year. Went back to check on him, he was sitting on a rock playing a dang video game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />
