WOW! Once when I was about 9 or 10 my folks had gotten me a small portable TV for Christmas, for my bedroom. Well that next summer it was storming one night, and a bolt of lightening came down throught the house an struck the TV. ALL the damage it did was fuse the on off switch to on! Don't know if lightening can come down through a house like that and hit something, but I saw the brightest light and heard the loudest pop I have ever experienced in my life.
