I don't have a good pair of hikers right now so I've been wearing my steel toes. They are exceptionally comfortable though. When I was working 10 hr shifts my feet didn't bother me a bit. I find them great for my day hikes (as long as they stay dry). They offer valuable ankle support on uneven terrain.
