yeah the 06 is a good round, but personally I just like the shorter action of the .308. Had an ought six in Idaho, but really only bought it cause it was cheaper than the 308 I was lookin at.

I've got a Remmy 700 in 06, wouldn't trade it for anything. I got it at a pawn shop for $200, scope included.
I had an ADL in '06 Spr, but let it loose a while back. I know, I regret it now. The one my brother got is an late 70's with a wood stock. When he got it I stripped it out of the stock and cleaned it up, adjusted the trigger, and put a Redfield 4-12x40mm scope on it. The rifle shoots real well at 100 yds, hope to stretch it out some time.
