I have been studying uncle Um the last couple days and although it may not be touted as a fighter it seems to have some aspects that MIGHT make it so.
The Semi-sharp false edge will increase/improve penetration. The way the spine of the blade scalloped will decrease the surface contact (as in a straight flat edge) and the edges of the pine are not square 90 degree angles but are beveled at what appears to be a 45 degree angle. Just something that dawned on me. Don't know if it is accurate or not, just some observations. I like this knive! Actually I like BOTH of them!
